Early Registration - for Honey Judging Honey Contest General Information
The High Country Honey Festival is proud to participate in a premiere honey judging competition! Our festival will feature 6 distinct categories of honey judging, and all the details can be found in the rules found in this PDF linked here
A person may enter more than one category, and the cost for each entry is $10. Please see the rules for all the details surrounding multiple entries. In the 3 main honey categories, each contestant will be required to submit 3 jars of honey, of which 2 will be judged by our nationally recognized judges. The 3rd bottle of honey will be used in our “Honey Tasting” area, located right next to the judging. This bottle of honey will be open to the public for tasting, and it MAY include a label or a card with details about the honey or the farm that produced it. The ability for the public to contact the honey producer if you desire is perfectly acceptable.
We are excited to offer incredible cash prizes, with $100 going to the winner of each category, and $50 for second and $25 for third. A Best of Show Winner will receive a $500 grand prize, and be recognized on stage during the event, as well as social media follow-up after the festival.
If you wish to early register your honey for the event, please fill out the online form here , and an email will be sent to finish the process, including your $10 entry fee payment. A separate entry form must be submitted for each entry.
