The High Country Honey Festival took place in Ashe County this past weekend and provided a unique opportunity to local beekeepers. The American Honey Judges Association came to the festival to judge honey from all over NC and beyond, and incredible prizes were awarded.
There were $100 first place prizes awarded in 6 different honey categories, and a $500 Grand Prize award went to Valarie Pallato for her nearly PERFECT honey show score!
We were honored to have so many wonderful entries, and we look forward to even more next year! Help me in congratulating Valarie and so many others for their outstanding honey presentations!
